Fourth grade students have music for 30 minutes two days in our six-day rotation. We spend a lot of time speaking, singing, moving, playing recorders(!) and barred instruments, listening, and creating our own music.
Recorders
Much of our fourth grade music time includes playing the soprano recorder. We will start playing recorders during the week of October 21st.
By holding your mouse over the fourth grade page label above, you will find a page dedicated to our recorder time. That page is a great place to check out for the songs we play in the music room. Additional songs, fingerings and ideas will also be shown.
Concerts
Concerts are a great time for students to show what they have been working on in the music room. We look forward to performing for you on...
Thursday, March 19, 2020 5:30 and 7:00 pm {performance times for each class to be determined later}
This concert will take place in the Becker Intermediate large gym. Students are asked to dress up on their concert day (wearing dress up clothes that they might wear if they were going to a wedding, fancy restaurant, family pictures or church).
